On June 6th 1944, more than 150,000
soldiers including Americans, British, Canadians, French, Polish, Dutch, Belgians and
Norwegians, landed by sea and air on Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword beaches."
From February through August, 2014, Normandy will be celebrating the 70th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy with due splendor and emotion.
70 years after they first landed, four D-Day veterans, all recipients of the Légion d’honneur, share their memories of their time in France and reflect on the sacrifices made by all.
